Evolution 2016 Lineup, Venue, And More Announced!!
There was a lot of excitement coming into the Evolution 2016 broadcast and after its conclusion, we were even more excited to learn what this year will entail for the biggest fighting game tournament on the map!!
The EVO 2k16 Lineup
It came as no surprise to us that Street Fighter V would be making its official entrance into this years lineup but as for the rest of the selection, things were pretty much up in the air. Here is the official list:
- Street Fighter V
- Super Smash Bros. Melee
- Super Smash Bros. Wii U
- Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator
- Mortal Kombat X
- Pokken Tournament
- Killer Instinct Season 3
- Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
- Tekken 7: Fated Retribution
The Venue
With the new Street Fighter V in collaboration with the Capcom Pro Tour happening, a lot of people are expecting an increase in the participants of this years event.
Having this in mind, we wondered what venue the EVO staff would have available for this auspicious occasion and they did not disappoint!!
Evolution 2016 will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center but it doesn’t stop there!! Finals day will be held in a different venue at the Mandalay Bay Event Center sports arena!!
Other Crazy Announcements
After the confirmation of Tekken 7 Fated Retribution, Mad Catz Community/Sponsorship manager MarkMan unveiled a nice surprise via Harada:
Nina returns to the cast rocking a deadly bridal gown out fit and showcasing those original bone crunching move sets that we’ve grown accustomed to over the years.
