Free To Play MMORPG Warframe has a fighting game?!!
Apparently, Digital Extremes creators of the popular free to play MMORPG Warframe have caught the fighting game bug as they released a new mini-game mode yesterday titled Frame Fighter:
Teased back in March of this year, Frame Fighter’s inception came from an original art concept created by a Warframe community member. The different Warframes make up the character selection and seem to have a few special movesets based on their powers in the game.
Frame Fighter’s by no means looks like a true fighting game but with a little more polish, it could certainly get there. A matchmaking mode is also included so you should have no problem getting an opponent. Still, we certainly have to give Digital Extremes some kudos for attempting to try something other than the usual PVP modes that inhabit these style of games.
For now, this latest mode is only available on the PC but we are sure once they smooth out as many of the edges as possible it will be coming to available consoles not long after!! Warframe is available for download on the Steam platform.
