Nidhogg Has A Sequel Coming Next Year!!

Nidhogg’s simplistic approach to art style was proof that you did not need the triple A bells and whistles to make a fighting game highly intuitive and extremely fun to play.

While anyone can agree that game play is more important, it of course does not hurt if said game is easier on the eyes, and with Messof back in the saddle with an upcoming sequel for Nidhogg..well take a look!

A quick look over the reveal trailer for Nidhogg II reveals some interesting additions coming to the latest title in the series. Players will now have access to additional weapons which include daggers, axes, and arrows.

As you may also notice, Nidhog II will be receiving a visual upgrade as well abandoning the original Atari 8bit retro style for a nice 16bit(or more) art style!

There has been no details given about which platforms Nidhogg II will be coming to but there is a good possibility we may be getting a multi-platform release for the title on day one.

If you are planning to attend TwitchCon this weekend, then you can be one of the first to try out a playable build of this title!

More information can be found on the official website as well as a recent article on PC Gamer which features a small interview with the developers.
