V-Jump magazine has once again revealed new characters for the upcoming Dragon Ball FighterZ fighting games:

Piccolo and Krillin have made the cut!! Krillin, who first appeared in the original Dragon Ball series, will come with his signature move Destructo Disc which apparently is going to be “impossible to guard”.  Piccolo, a remnant of King Piccolo, made his debut in Dragon Ball Z and has been Gohan’s mentor throughout the series.  So far we know that Piccolo will utilize his extendable arm ability to grab opponents and will have charge techniques that can break his opponents guard.

In addition to the character reveals, it has also been confirmed that the online mode for DBFZ will feature chibi characters that you can controller similar to the virtual lobby system found in the Guilty Gear Xrd series. Supposedly, you will be able to battle against each other in this form which certainly has us curious as to what that means.

As a reminder, a character reveal was planned for July 21st with the opening for DBFZ beta registration happening shortly after on the 26th. It would seem that Trunks, Piccolo, and Krillin will be the 3 additional characters available for the beta!!
