Tekken 7 Announced at EVO!!! *Update*

*Update*

IGN is reporting on some extra information about the new fighter. Tekken 7 will be running on the Unreal Engine 4 developed by Epic for the next gen gaming systems. Harada had nothing but positive things to say about the engine stating that it is both powerful and easy to use. He also mentioned that having the engine allowed them the focus of working on the game and making it better.

Earlier in the week Harada, producer of the Tekken series, announced that he would be revealing some information at EVO 2014. Right before the top 8 of Ultra Street Fighter IV, Harada took to the stage to reveal the new trailer for Tekken 7.

So far the trailer reveals Kazuya’s mother telling him that Heihachi must be killed. At the end of the trailer, there was an announcement that more Tekken 7 information would be available at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 25th.

The biggest question that remains is will this be a next gen title exclusive or can we expect this title to be released across current gen as well. Either way it goes, the announcement is very exciting news and one can only wonder what the new game in the series will look like.
