Capcom Pro Tour 2015 Details Revealed!!!

Peter “Combofiend” Rosais joined Mike Ross to discuss the upcoming season for Capcom Pro Tour. For those who are not familiar with the tour, Capcom is partnering with major tournament organizations for the 2015 year giving players an opportunity to gain prizes and a chance at earning a spot at Capcom Cup 2015.

As it was last year, Ultra Street Fighter IV will be the premier game for the Pro Tour. Without a doubt CPT is looking to make this a big year for players around the world!! To start, the 16 man invitational is no longer, that is right, this years Capcom Cup will be a 32 man invitational!

There has also been a change to the premier events that gives players an automatic spot at Capcom Cup this year. As many pointed out, the NA representation at last years tour was, to say the least, a bit over represented. This time around, there will be four premier event per region. These regions include NA, Japan, Europe, and World

Once again, Final Round will start things off for premier tournaments in Atlanta, GA with other marquee tournaments like Dream Hack in Sweden, and new comer K.O.  Fighting Game Tournament in Kuwait!

Now, some may recall the announcement at the last Capcom Cup in regards to the 500K in prizes that would be a apart of this new year. The details have come back and there sure to get players fired up about competing for the top spot this year.

To start, each premier tournament will receive a 15K pot bonus for top 8 and that isn’t even the tip of the ice burg!! As EVO will be one of the  four world region tournaments for this pro tour season ,they will be receiving a pot bonus as well..a whopping 50k pot bonus for top 8 finishers!! To end the year right Capcom Cup will give its Grand Finals winner a record prize winning of 120K!!

In addition, last year winner Momochi has earned an automatic spot at this years tournament but expect him to be on the hunt at a premier tournament near you to compete for the wonderful prize money CPT has to offer!!
