Update 4/25/2018 10:29am-

As we anticipated, Arc System Works has confirmed that they do in fact plan to release more fighting games on the Nintendo Switch!! The company made this announcement earlier today on twitter as they asked fans to “look forward to the follow-up”. Looking back at ASW’s publishing run on Steam, we saw titles like Arcana Heart 3: Love Max !!!!!, Battle Fantasia, and a surprise Melty Blood: Actress Again Current Code release on the PC client all coupled with multiplayer online modes.

Previous Post:

A recent announcement at the Nexon Developers Conference revealed that Arc System Works is bringing their classic fighting game Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus R to the Nintendo Switch!!

This latest iteration of GGACPR will come with two online matchmaking modes, a gallery mode, and the Shin Hae Chul soundtrack contribution to Guilty Gear XX: #Reload. Outside of what players will get with the Switch version, no details on the release of the game have been given.

This may lead to Arc System Works bringing more titles to the Switch in the future similar to what they did when they started to port titles to the PC via Steam in the past. It will certainly be interesting to see what titles make it to this portable powerhouse from these amazing fighting game developers.
