Information On Street Fighter V’s Final Launch Characters Revealed!!

It would seem Capcom Director of Brand Marketing and esports Matt Dahlgren let go of some very interesting information about the final launch characters for Street Fighter V.

As we’ve reported before, there will be a total of 16 characters at launch four of which will be new characters but now we have more information about what we can expect for the returning cast members.

During the gamespot convention Matt confirmed that their will be 8 classic fighters that you would expect in a Street Fighter game. This bit of information, no doubt, eludes to the original characters which we can assume includes the additional Super Street Fighter characters as well.

Matt also added that 4 characters will be characters that we haven’t seen in a while.

As we tally up the already revealed roster, based on Matt’s information, we can assume there will be:

  • 2 more classic character reveals
  • 1 more character we haven’t seen in a while
  • 3 more new characters

Despite this new reveal, this is still very up in air when it comes to the returning cast. We’ve noticed that the characters we haven’t seen in a while all come from the Street Fighter Alpha series which means we may just see one more character reveal from there…Karin or Sodom maybe?! We shall see.

As for the last two classic character reveals this one is a complete toss up. With Vega returning to the cast as one of the four shadowloo members, we can only speculate the other two members Sagat and  Barlog will be joining the final roster.

Who do you think the final returning cast may be? Give us your predictions in the comments below!!
