Online Play Has Come To M.U.G.E.N!!

Chances are if you have been playing fighting games long enough on the PC,  you have come across the legendary M.U.G.E.N application. If you haven’t heard about M.U.G.E.N, then brace yourself because what comes next may lead you down a road of no return!!

M.U.G.E.N 1.0

In 1999, M.U.G.E.N released to the masses. An open source application, M.U.G.E.N essentially allows you to create your own fighting game wonderland!!

Grabbing game assets from some of your favorite fighting game titles, the M.U.G.E.N application allows you to collect and customize all of your favorite fighting game characters, stages, music, effects, and more.

On the surface, M.U.G.E.N always felt like a playable fighting game database but as the years went on, it would prove to be much more then just a program that succeeded in allowing you to cross over your favorite fighting game characters and universes.

HDBZ features original assets created for the Mugen engine.

M.U.G.E.N does not just make all of your favorite fighting game characters playable against each other, it allows you to make them better, make them more powerful, or even make your own!!

Outside of just being able to share the creativity of M.U.G.E.N with the community, the application for the most part, has been a solo affair..that was until I.K.E.M.E.N came along.

I.K.E.M.E.N, an application built on M.U.G.E.N’s open source software, is able to do what many thought would never be possible in the chaotic world of M.U.G.E.N, online play.

Popular M.U.G.E.N builds have already started to surface on the modified application and aside from a few character and system bugs, things are definitely looking positive.

We have officially created a page for I.K.E.M.E.N which will include recommended builds, community forum, and discord information.
