Harada Addresses Absence Of Cross Play On Tekken 7!!

With Tekken 7 Fated Retribution coming to three major platforms, many wondered if there would be cross play compatibility with at least the PC platform.

Unfortunately, Tekken 7’s producer has gone on record through his Twitter feed to explain why this cannot be:

“TK7 has P2P Network & 3 platforms. It’s not my issue. [It is a] 1st party security issue.”

The few games that have featured cross play have been server network games which include Rocket League and Street Fighter V.

Skull Girls 2nd Encore on the Playstation Network features cross play between the Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita/TV consoles and uses GGPO which is P2P network, but what is important to consider here is the fact that they are on the same network.

Despite cross play not being a thing for Tekken 7, we are happy to know that the game will get into more hands given how many platforms are supported.
