Playstation Experience Guarantees And Predictions!!

The Playstation Experience is only a few days away and it looks like there is going to be a great deal of reveals on the fighting game front.

While there are a few guarantees to look forward to, there may be some surprises as well and based on a few rumblings we thought it best to give you some possible predictions…so let’s get started.

Guarantees:

Street Fighter V Updates

With Capcom Cup happening during the Playstation Experience this weekend, it is all but guaranteed that Capcom is going to be letting a few cats out of the bag in regards to updates for Street Fighter V!

A teaser trailer during the final North America event of the Capcom Pro Tour has already confirmed that something will be playable at the event and while Ono may deny Akuma’s presence, we know that he will be there in some shape…or form.

We know for sure that balance changes will be coming to SFV as the developers of the title wanted to hold off until the end of the Pro Tour season. Whether a sneak peek will be available during this event is certainly in question but an official announcement should be on its way.

Lastly, the classic costumes that were revealed during a comic con panel should be making their official debut during this event. So far we know that Ibuki’s and Alex’s original classic costumes will be available at some point but we have yet to get any further details on what to expect so hopefully this event gives us that information.

Playable build of Fantasy Strike

Attendees will get the opportunity to get a first look at Fantasy Strike, a fighting game that is aiming to take a simplistic approach to execution while keeping a hidden undertone of complex mechanics which will reveal themselves the more you play.

Playable build of The King OF Fighters XIV Patch 1.10

SNK pleasantly took us by surprise when a photo of a new and improved Kyo Kusanagi started to float around the internet. Once the main source of the photo was confirmed, we learned that patch 1.10 would be the update bringing us this new upgrade and it would be playable during the Playstation Experience!!

Predictions:

Injustice 2 will reveal more characters and a possible release date

While Nether Realms Studios has been pretty quiet about Injustice 2 since the last character announcements, producer Ed Boon has been setting twitter a blaze with a few tweets we believe could lead to some amazing reveals during the Playstation Experience!!hellboy-vs-spawn_questions

Last week we were teased with possibilities of Spawn, Hellboy, and Rorschach(from Watchmen) being apart of the Injustice 2 roster and it is not something we want to take lightly  and just ignore.

There also has not been a target release date for the title outside of a confirmed 2017 release and given that the year is almost over, now would be the perfect time to at least give us a target date.

Though there has not been any confirmations about reveals or playable builds for Injustice 2 at the event, we are pretty hopeful that NRS will not resist making some noise during this weekend.

Marvel Vs Capcom 4 will be announced

The rumor mill has been spreading as of late about the possibility of Marvel Vs Capcom 4 getting announced during the event.

While the alleged poster that has been floating around does not quite make us believers, based on where sources are coming from for the rumor, we may just be witnessing the return of a relationship between Marvel(now owned by Disney) and Capcom and this could without a doubt end up being the biggest news of the weekend.

Tekken 7: Fated Retribution gets an official release date and new character reveals

While this is probably more unlikely then even the MVC4 announcement, it is not beyond the realm of possibility. After all, the relationship between Playstation and Tekken is pretty special as the game did make its home debut on the first Playstation console long ago.t7akumajin_feat

There is probably no better place or time to announce Tekken 7’s console release than the Playstation Experience especially with there initial target release date being early 2017.

We also know that the final roster is by no means complete so some new character trailers could very well make an appearance during this event as well. Our guess, character main stay Lei Wulong will finally be revealed.

The Playstation Experience starts this weekend on Saturday December 3. For those who cannot attend the event, there will be live streams happening through various websites which include twitch.tv, YouTube, and Facebook.

Playstation will also have there own dedicated stream @ live.playstation.com where using your PSN ID will unlock bonus content for your enjoyment during the event.
