0FGO Updates
Hey folks! Long time no see and a happy new year to you all!!
I wanted to make a quick post of all the latest changes and additions made on the website.
Netcode updates
As you may have already guessed we have updated the netcode for two titles in particular. The King Of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match and Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R have received a netcode overhaul with both now using Roll Back!
PlayStation 3 and Vita titles no longer on PSN website
To make way for a new generation with the PlayStation 5, Sony has unfortunately made the decision to take down its PlayStation 3 titles from the PSN website which means links to the fighting games titles on our site are no longer and so we removed them. You can still purchase these titles directly from the PSN store via your PlayStation 3 or Vita console.
Added new applications
We’ve added two more applications that can be used to play fighting games online:
nullDC BEAR
Short for Beat Em All Raw, BEAR is a special Null DC launcher that is designed to take much of the guess work out of setting up the nullDC emulator for online play.
PARSEC
If you are familiar with using remote play on Steam, or the PlayStation console, then you pretty much have an idea of how PARSEC works. Unlike the aforementioned services, PARSEC has touted some impressive low latency letting you host games on your PC with people online. PARSEC has become the preferred way to play many fighting game titles online to the point that many choose it over the in-game netcode created by the game developer.
Other changes
Because many applications use the emulators we feature on the site, we have now added an “also available on” section that has a link to applications that use those emulators.
We will continue to update the website as new fighting game titles and more ways to enjoy fighting games online becomes available so be sure to visit us ever so often for the details!!
