What Can We Expect From The Nintendo Switch?!!

Nintendo has officially pulled off the covers for their new console now confirmed as the Nintendo Switch!!

Off of the bat, we can immediately see that the Nintendo Switch’s biggest feature is its amazing portability. What we do not see much of at the moment is wires, and that worries us just a little.

Everything during this trailer certainly hints at bluetooth wireless support and even some interesting adhoc(local wireless) support but we are certainly curious as to what they have planned for the home console portion of the system.

Our biggest concern for the system moving forward is certainly going to be the possible backwards compatibility and third party support the system will offer. The trailer has already hinted at some Wii U titles coming to the new console but we certainly would not mind seeing a few 3DS titles making an appearance as well.

With Arc System Works confirmed as an official publisher/developer for the console, the gears are certainly turning in our heads as to what will be available. Will we see a port of the Dragon Ball Z Butoden makes it way to the console? Can the hardware handle the incredible work of art that is Guilty Gear Xrd? We certainly hope so.

Speaking of hardware, we at least have some initial information when it comes to the Nintendo Switch’s GPU. The Nvidia Tegra processor, used in many of the graphics hardware manufacture’s android devices like the Nvidia shield, will be used for the latest console.

It’s obvious that this choice of hardware was made to handle the mobile aspect of what the latest console has to offer. Whether or not the custom hardware created for the new console will be up to par enough to handle the power of many the latest games on the market definitely leaves us with a big question mark.

We definitely think the Nintendo Switch is going to turn a lot of heads and with its early release date next year, things are most likely set in stone at this point so we can only wait eagerly to see what this system will have to offer!!
