Beowulf Available Today, Skull Girls 2nd Encore Coming Soon!!!
Skull Girls Encore’s fifth DLC character Beowulf will be released today for Steam, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 !!
The charismatic wolf sporting, chair wielding(and hidden surprises)wrestler is sure to be a great addition to the cast which now has a total of 13 playable characters with the future release of Robo fortune being the final DLC character in the crowd funded campaign.
News has also been revealed on the playstation blog about the future release for Skull Girls on the Vita and Playstation 4 consoles!
The version being released on the two consoles will be titled Skull Girls: 2nd Encore and will have all the new characters, new modes, and features!!
One of the biggest features mentioned in this release will be the multiplayer online cross platform support which includes PS3, PS4, and PSVita(possibly PSTV also)!! There will even be cross buy available(purchase one game that can be downloaded across all PS platforms!!) as well.
Unfortunately, this new version of Skull Girls will require some Playstation 3 owners to repurchase the game in order to take advantage of the new version. Peter Bartholow made note of this on the blog making it clear that “current PS3 owners won’t get the new release free.”
He also informed players that they’ve put a lot of time into the new version and that the new improvements will be well worth the upgrade!
