KOFXIV Release Date Announced(Update)!!

Update 12:04pm EDT-  We have added a new trailer to the original post titled trailer #1 which gives us a first look at the upcoming online mode and introduces the new teams as well.

As promised, SNK Playmore has released a ton of information in regards to The King Of Fighters XIV!!

The latest trailer reveals Nakoruru a legendary character from the Samurai Showndon universe. Like her original incarnation the eagle which stays by her side can be controlled and it looks like it may be incorporated into even more of her attacks then before.

The trailer also reveals a brand new cast member Shun’ei who seems to wield some very unique abilities one of which includes him being able to air dash both toward and away from his opponent.

The last few seconds of the trailer give us the official release date!! KOFXIV we be available for the Playstation 4 on August 23rd.

For those excited about this announcement and are already chomping at the bit looking for Pre-Order info KOFXIV publisher Atlus has revealed a special collectible physical copy which will feature a steel book case with main character Kyo gracing the cover.

In addition to the collectible, players will receive the classic Kyo costume which will be available as DLC for free!!

Japanese video game website famitsu has also revealed pictures of what looks to be the entire team roster for KOF XIV as well giving us a glimpse at what some of the returning and new cast members look like.

There is still much more to be revealed as we start the countdown for the latest game in series so stay tuned!!
